The Full Digital version of Strato 2000* eliminates films, cassettes, chemicals and the related issues of handling and disposal. Elimination of film and chemicals combined with reduction of retakes results in higher patient throughput and will significantly reduce examination costs, insuring a quick return on investment.The system employs a state-of-the-art high resolution CCD sensor with a Csl (Cesium -Iodide) scintillator screen providing for exceptional sharpness and image quality.Images are transferred to thePC real time via a high speed USB 2.0 connection and maybe viewed directly on screen during the exposure phase. This provides for immediate evaluation of exposure accuracy and the reduction of retakes.USB 2.0 is now common on virtually all laptops and PCs bought within the last year thus eliminating the need for dedicated image acquisition boards.Image acquisition without connecting directly to a PC is also possible. The unit is equipped with a slot for "Compact Flash" memory cards. Images acquired in this mode are stored on the Compact Flash card and can be transferred to a PC after the acquisition by inserting the Compact Flash into a card reader.Low cost Compact Flash cards are widely used in consumer digital cameras and in addition to ease of use, have the advantage of widespread availability in most electronics stores.Powerful and user-friendly software gets the most out of each image.Post-processing features include filters, magnification, contrast, brightness and gamma adjustment, measurements, printing, archiving, and much more.Digital image processing allows you to extract useful diagnostic information even from images with incorrect exposure, which is practically impossible when taken on conventional film.The examination programs include: full panoramic, hemipanoramic, child panoramic improved orthogonality panoramic, open-dosed mouth TMJ, bi-axial TMJ plus frontal & lateral sinus. New examination programs are constantly being developed, further expanding the scope of the system.
